"Managers do thing right, and leader do the right thing".

Warren G. Bennis

The old saying managers do things right is true, they make sure the final i's are dotted and T are crossed. They look over groups of people encouraging them, making sure they are getting the work done, and coaching them throughout.

Managers may have the leadership qualities as well, the difference is usually the leader is appointed by the group or worked their way up to achieve this status because they posses the innate ability to motivate others to achieve the desired goals.
